Subscriptions
I subscribed 48 hours ago and I don't have access yet! What gives?
First, check the spam folder of the email address you use at paypal. That resolves the issue 99% of the time. If you still cant find a welcome email from us, send an email to support@allisonhouse.com. Activation usually takes less than 24 hours....most new subscriptions are activated in less than 10 minutes.

How do I upgrade/downgrade my subscription?
Step 1: Login to paypal and view your recent payments.
Step 2: Then click on the 'details' link next to the payment for the subscription you wish to cancel.
Step 3: Then click on the 'subscription number'
Step 4: Then click on the 'cancel subscription' button
Step 5: Go to the AllisonHouse website and subscribe to the one you want.
We will link your old account to the new subscription.
Paypal just sent me a notice of a failed payment will my subscription get canceled?
Unless you received an email from paypal saying the subscription was
canceled, paypal will automatically attempt to rebill in a few days.
Is there a non-paypal option?
Yes! After you click on the subscription/buy now button of your choice you will be presented with a PayPal login screen. However, somewhere nearby there will be a link that looks something like this

Click on the 'credit or debit card' link to pay without using Paypal. Or you can send us a money order or personal check. Some folks even setup automatic bill pay through their bank and have a check delivered monthly to us. For your security we do not take credit card information by phone or email.
Do I need two subscriptions if I run two computers at the same time?
You can install your subscriptions on multiple computers. However, if you need/want to run both at the same time please buy a second subscription.
Data Feeds
I'm seeing anomolously high lightning counts. They can't be right!
We have investigated this claim over and over again since we started offering lightning data. We can assure you the counts you are seeing are accurate. Our lighting provider counts
EVERY stroke, not just strikes to the ground. In a large storm you may only see two or three strokes, but in fact 30 or more have happened during that period that you could not see deeper in the cloud layer.
Can I loop satellite data?
We are not aware of any software packages that are integrated with AllisonHouse and providing looped satellite data. Sorry.
Can I loop lightning?
We are not aware of any software packages that are integrated with AllisonHouse and providing looped lightning. Sorry.
Do you support/have Weather Underground data?
Unfortunately, no. The Terms of Service of the Weather Underground precludes companies like AllisonHouse from making their data available. We recommend that owners of weather stations send their data to the
Citizen Weather Observer Program as well as the Weather Underground. The CWOP is a free data service and nearly every weather station has an option to submit data to the CWOP.
I keep getting 'retry' when trying to download radar, is AllisonHouse Down?!
Short answer is no. Or at least probably no. Software that integrates with AllisonHouse uses an intellegent algorithm that predicts when the next radar file is going to be available. Occasionaly it is wrong. Only after you have been unable to get radar data for more than 15-20 minutes should you assume AllisonHouse is down and notify our support group. In 99.99999% of cases we have investigated in the past few years the reason for the outage was either your firewall blocking access, your internet is down or your account has expired. AllisonHouse runs near 100% uptime metrics, it's probably not us.
